When Amy Cuddy was 19 years old, she was involved in a really bad car accident. She was thrown out of a car and woke up in a head injury rehabilitation ward (rehab ward). As a result of the accident, she had to leave college. On top of that, doctors told her that she could not finish college.

She felt powerless because something important to her, her identify, had been taken from her. She worked and worked, and got lucky, and worked, and got lucky, and worked. (Let’s remember that luck is an acronym which means labor under correct knowledge. In other words, we should try to be in the right place at the right time to improve opportunities.
